Volunteering at an orphanage with young children is always what I wanted to do for a while. I came to Cambodia as I wanted tolearn about Khmer culture and know more about its history. Volunteering Phnom Penh was a great experience, which I will remeber for the rest of my life. It has been rewarding and I will always miss the wonderful children and people I meet on my trip. Thanks to Volunteering Solutions who made this trip possible and also to the local staff namely Anica. Will definately recommend this to others!

This is a biased posting. Here, this volunteer gives a highest rating to all categories, including over all, support, and value. No volunteer company is perfect; consequently, the rating given by this volunteer does not reflect a genuine judgment and assertion of the company. But, what could rather be a product of bribery, where Volunteer Solutions has given extra services or even money in order to receive a positive feedback. Bribing or asking people for positive feedbacks on a failing company is belittling all volunteer programs out there. Rather than apologizing to volunteers who suffered in this program, giving them refunds, or improving the quality of the program, he asks favors from people like mom4equality or similar easily bribable people to write reviews in their favor. Mom4equality writes in response to the other volunteer complaints, “I must say these [volunteers] are sounding like spoiled children. Their complaints are more about life in India in general than VI specifically.” But what mom4equality fails to explain is her own experience in the program. So my question is, out of the hundred of negative postings and even a face book group of nearly 600 people out crying of their illegal business practices, how much did he pay you to write your posting?
Hi Mat, Any chance I can have an email address to contact you on please? I'm planning the Cambodia trip with Volunteering Solutions and could do with a bit more info if possible. Many thanks, Hannah
Hi Mat. Can I ask some questions? Do you have an email my wife and I can contact you on? I am just a bit suspicious of some of these posts as the feedback is very similar (writing style) and I have heard some bad reports about this company. Sorry if this sounds bad but I would like to get in touch via email and get more information as I am interested.

I enjoyed my experience in Thailad and I highly recommend anyone wanting to go on the trip through Volunteering Solutions. If you have the money and the time, I say why not go? That was the first time I ever went to Thailand so it was more personal for me too to be able to see the country and stuff. The support from the office in India was great and they have all information that was important in time.
I did the orphanage placement in Bangkok earlier this year. I was provided a apartment accommdation for myself and I had all that i needed: washing machine, kitchen, bathrooms in each room. To be honest, I felt really safe. The coordinator uswin was also very helpful in every way possible.
The place was located about 50 min from city ceter and it was great to work with these lovey children and caring staff. Once I finished my work everyday I could go around town and see things, as Ayutthaya has so much to see and do. It is full of temples and in the evening there are nice places to hang out like - Tonys place and Jazz bar. You will always get people here from around the world to spend quality time in th evening. The places close down early so if you are planning to do late night .. I would suggest you to start early.

Hi, I want to go to Kenya this summer. Is there any way for me to talk to you and ask some questions?

My experiences with Volunteering Solutions were great. Everyone I dealt with was nice and were helpful from start till the end. Everything was done in an efficient manner, and me and my parents were left feeling safe before I left for Peru.
The program offers good value for money and we were provided host family accommodation and great meals everyday. Jenny was great to have as a coordinator and I loved to go to the Machu Pichu trip which was arranged by Sahil at Volunteering Solutions.
I would recommend them and would be going on my next trip to Ghana in 2010.

Well, I can't speak from personal experience yet, but I think its important to remember that any organization such as this one is a business. That have to retain at least some of the money volunteers pay to go on their trips or they would not be able to function as an organization. It is not possible for any organization to donate all of their profits to the projects.
why all reviews are written in same English?. I believe these are fake reviews. In India, I have heard that this is a family business. They never give money to projects.

The programs across the 3 countries that I travelled were great! The staff were so nice and welcoming in all locations. Sahil was very helpful to me before I left for my trip and was always in touch if I wanted some info. I found that the program offers everything tahat you pay for including travel Insurance! which is amazing as it's prices are very reasonable as such..
I would definately be travelling with them next summer to South America.

This information are written by Volunteering Solutions staffs. I did not travel with them in 3 countries. They are trying to fool
another site where the reviews are all written by the same person (the positive ones.) notice that they are all written by someone that is not very literate in English. also, there are consistent mistakes. please look into this one also.

Overall volunteering experience with volunteering solutions was really bad. I found that this is family business, they have lots of relatives, never pay money to project. I wasn't picked up from the Airport. I love Indian food. I am a little concerned. I'm getting so discouraged and do not recommend this organization. Please write me if you have any concern. Overall the program was terrible. The staffs were kind but no language and culture. Beware of this organization
