I have just completed the language course in the RCDP hostel in Kathmandu Nepal. From when i flew into the airport the organization has been extremely helpful. I was collected from the airport by a driver waiting to bring me straight to the hostel. The hostel itself is a very nice building and there are a number of rooms available with a number of volunteers in each. The majority of volunteers that pass through the hostel have English as a first language whith was very useful for me being an English speaker. The family that run the hostel are all very nice and helpful. Food is served 3 times a day and it is a mixture of Nepalese and a little western food to slowly get you used to the local food.
The language course was very useful. It first goes through orientation: General Nepal information, Safety and cultural differences to be aware of. The language coarse itself was very good and our teacher was extremely helpful with any questions we had. It Have us a very good overview of the language even in just one week and gave me a good understanding of forming sentences and useful vocabulary for my stay in Nepal. It was also very important in learning the correct way to pronounce the language. I would recommend it.
