Frontier

When i first landed in Tenerife i was nervous and excited, it was my first time going abroad alone and i didn't know what to expect, but i was not disappointed. I met two other volunteers at the airport and by the time we got to the house we were already getting along so well! As soon as we arrived food was prepared for us and it was delicious, we then had a house tour and the house and rooms were so much bigger than i expected! You also get a beautiful view of the sunset from the balcony and you can also see the coastline. The next day we went through training, this was to ensure we knew what to do on the boats and with the data we would collect, training was fun and really easy to understand i felt settled in by the second day and i knew i’d never want to leave the project! That's why i decided to add another week on after my two week stay, i definitely do not regret that decision at all. Over the three weeks i experienced the most amazing things, i went kayaking for the first time and a dolphin spy hopped right next to the kayak and then swam underneath i highly recommend going kayaking to anyone that wants to do the Tenerife project. I climbed mountains and El Teide which was breathtaking, i also tried paddle boarding for the first time and i was really bad at it but would still do it all over again! However the most amazing parts of the project was by far the whales and Dolphins, i had never been on a big boat like the Peter Pan before so i was excited to go on, my first boat was the best because i remember seeing the dolphins and was so hypnotised by them i nearly forgot to do my data! It was my first time seeing whales and dolphins in the wild and it'll be an experience ill never forget, this project has offered me so many opportunities and i’m so glad i took part in a Frontier Project.

Forum Nexus

If you're looking for a summer with unforgettable views, friends, food, and experiences Forum Nexus is just what you're looking for. I've always had a dream to go abroad, but was afraid I couldn't do it because of the commitment to leave for a whole semester. This summer program was the perfect alternative. I got to see most of Europe in a month. It was just enough, but not too long. My favorite part of the program was meeting people from all over the States and from different countries as well. I learned more than I ever could from just sitting in classroom.

CSA - Center for Study Abroad

The content of the course was different then was visible on the CSA website.
Complaining about that was not successful. The complaints were NOT handled. I was referred to the third party. I don't have a contract with the third party but with CSA.
Complaints are NOT handled properly.

Forum Nexus

Forum-Nexus delivered even more than I had ever hoped for in a study abroad! Although I took two classes in addition to the International IQ class, I still had plenty of time to explore all of the amazing cities that we stopped in. And not to mention all of the incredible friends that I met from all around the world! I don't think that I could have spent one month of my summer in a better way if I tried. I have recommended(and will continue to recommend) this program to everyone that I meet that is looking to learn about the world and make life-long friends!

Concordia Volunteers

I have participated in or coordinated nineteen different international volunteer projects in thirteen different countries organised by Concordia and its partner organisations since 2000. Concordia has always been very well-organised in arranging the projects and has been thorough in providing support / asking for feedback before, during and after the projects. For example, before being project coordinator I received training and was visited by Concordia staff during the projects which I was coordinating. Its website is very easy to use both for finding out information about and booking places on projects; I have always heard back quickly when placement on projects has been made. I recommend Concordia enthusiastically to all considering undertaking volunteer work.

Forum Nexus

Traveling with a group of strangers, who soon became family, in unfamiliar countries, helped open my eyes to a completely different world. Forum Nexus ties in all the right components to a study abroad program. The entire program is very well put together and very organized. The program met all my expectations and more. I can honestly say I had an overall amazing time. I was exposed to real world experiences in my field while being able to travel and enjoy each cities landmarks and night life. I'm pretty sure I'm joining them again next year to do it all over again!

Forum Nexus

My month abroad in Europe with Forum Nexus made for the most memorable summer of my life! Studying abroad had always been at the top of my “must-dos” list for college. In five weeks I was able to travel through five different countries and eleven enchanting cities (optional weekend trips). This was my very first trip out of the United States and I couldn’t imagine traveling with a better group of people. Forum Nexus had the most professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff and professors, and the other students were so interesting and culturally diverse. It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by others who were as passionate to travel as much as myself. Overall every single country was amazing and had something beautiful and unique to offer each person. I learned so much about Europe, it only fueled my desire to learn and travel more. I made great friends who I still keep in touch with and will carry these memories for a lifetime! I absolutely recommend Forum-Nexus to any college student looking to travel, learn about other cultures, and have an incredible fun and enriching summer!

Forum Nexus

Overall, Forum-Nexus is amazing because everything advertised in the program is true! What you see is what you get. The gorgeous cities, comfortable hotels, real classes and intriguing professional visits. The trip and accompanying experiences as well as the combined credits received are worth every cent put into paying for it. Of course, it wouldn't be made possible without an amazing staff behind the scenes. The fact that the professors travel with the students makes this program stand out above the rest. I recommend Forum-Nexus to all my friends!
