Road2Argentina

My experience in Argentina was amazing!!
Road2argentina made it easier to integrate and to enjoy this wonderfull country.
Road2argentina has a great staff, their dorm is extremely well located and they offer many services.
For some people, the price might seem high, however, compared to all the services and benefits it provides, it is really good.
I would definetly recomend this program!

Hi Mike- My daughter is considering Road2Argentina and would like to have an internship and also teach english. Can you please give me some more details about what you did in your internship? Best, Amy

Road2Argentina

I went to Buenos Aires and did an internship for four months through Road2Argentina. I studied spanish for a month and thought my teachers were very helpful. I chose to live in the residence which I loved, staff was friendly/helpful, and I lived with people who I consider lifelong friends. R2A has an amazing staff whom I had considered as family by the time I left and still keep in touch. Going with Road was one of the best experiences. I fell in love with Buenos Aires and would love to return. Road2Argentina helped make my trip unforgetable!

CEA - Cultural Experiences Abroad

I signed up to study abroad in Argentina with CEA, first the staff was extremely rude who signed me up. I signed up to stay in a residence hall because i was a little wary about a homestay. Upon arrival in BsAs i found out that i was staying at a hostel. This hostel was an open air hostel and it was the middle of winter. We were given little heaters that broke every few days and i always woke up shivering. We received minimal breakfast(maybe a bagel and coffee), and to top it off there was random locals in and out all the time. Later on the trip i found out there was another residence hall but it was full. This residence hall was much nicer every room had a TV and bathrooms were only shared with few people. I called the main CEA office to complain and ask for some money back and they told me they couldn't do anything for me. The one good thing about my program was the directors they were very helpful and nice.

I'd like to get more information about your stay and was it worth putting up with the hostel. My daughter is very interested in going to Argentina in the fall. Please share your comments with me as I am very concern for her safety and that she has good experience. I have family in Argentina, but not near the school. How were the overall conditions of the hostel you stayed in and did the school meet your expectations?

Road2Argentina

OK - Now that the Road2Argentina marketing department has posted some nice "reviews", here's a real one.
I studied Spanish and chose their student dorm housing option (more of a converted house than a dorm). What annoyed me was that it was 99% students from the US - they never mentioned to me that would be the case, and they knew I was going there to learn Spanish. It's also not the cleanest place - very dirty on the weekends. I wouldn't have picked that housing option if I had known the real details about it. I heard 2 complaints from students in homestays, so I don't know if that would have actually been any better.
The Spanish program was OK - they passed me off to another school (Expanish) which I could have easily applied to directly if they had let on that it wasn't actually their Spanish school. My teacher was OK, except for her arriving late a lot and her occasional complaints about her pay and the owners.
On the plus side, though the staff basically didn't resolve any of my problems and were a bit disorganized, they were nice and friendly. And, though you won't learn any Spanish if you stay in their student residence, it is in a decent part of town.
In general though, I wouldn't recommend the program.

Road2Argentina

I cannot say nearly enough wonderful things about Road2Argentina... Where could I possibly begin? The staff are so amazing, always accessible and so ready to receive any questions, whatever they may be. There are so many opportunities made available by Road, whether it be volunteering, studying at the university, or simply just learning Spanish, the list is endless and anything you could possibly want to do is endless...and possible ! When you leave, more than loving the staff you will love Argentina because it is a beautiful country with amazing things to offer and to explore, and Road2Argentina will give you that experience.

Road2Argentina

Road2Argentina is an excellent program for the student who wishes to save a few thousand dollars and also be part of a smaller, more intimate community of students, professionals, and travelers. The people running this program are extremely warm, approachable, and in touch with the needs and interests of the participants. Although this program does not carry the glitz and extra trips included in many other programs, it will save you money and give you the independence (and support) to plan your own adventure while in South America.

Road2Argentina

Overall, I had an amazing experience in Buenos Aires, and especially with Road2Argentina. I worked at an NGO devoted to helping small and medium sized businesses in Buenos Aires start or expand their involvement abroad. Road2Argentina worked closely with us to ensure that we were happy with our internships, and is very flexible with changing to a volunteer or study program if you are not satisfied.
The staff was not only highly professional, but also went above and beyond to make sure that we were well-oriented the very first day, kept tabs on us, provided plenty of opportunities to do activities and meet other Roadies, and helped with any troubleshooting that was needed. I was especially grateful for their help when I stayed in Buenos Aires independently AFTER my program ended.
The student residence is really nice, kind of like a huge townhouse that has been remade, and is in a really nice part of the city. I've heard that the shared apartments are also really fun because you get to live with locals that are your age.
The staff was also extremely warm, and I made friends really quickly with them - I still keep in touch with them now, over a year later. The staff are all really young and fun - if you do end up going, try to hang out with them as much as possible!
I highly, highly recommend Road2Argentina for a trip, just because they were super accommodating of me. They will seriously cater to all your needs and wants, and just know that if you go to Argentina with Road2Argentina, you will be well taken care of.

Escuela Montalban

Following a language course a the Escuela Montalban in Granada, where I was studying last May, has definitely been a fun and enriching experience which I would recommend to anyone! Not only did I study Spanish in fun and friendly classes, but I could also take part in lots of cultural activities organised by the school, such as Flamenco classes, film showings, mountain trekking, excursions to others cities in Andalusia, or scuba-diving in the Mediterranean. It was a great experience to be able to improve my Spanish skills while being on a holiday at the same time!
