This is an amazing program with amazing instructors. My wife and I both did this program, and they made us feel comfortable from day one. They were available to answer all of our questions before, during, and after the course. The staff is knowledgable, funny, and really push you to your full potential. My wife and I both taught Elementary and Middle School in America, and we were blown away by the methodology and general teaching strategies. Not only did we learn how to become successful TEFL teachers living abroad, but we learned how to be better teachers in any setting. Their job assistance was also extremely helpful - we both had jobs by the third week of the course. We recommend this to everyone!

This program was very benificial. I will say it was very intense though! It is not for the weak. You are in a new country and taking a college level course that has been condensed down into one month. After that warning I would still reccomended that if you contemplating this course you should do it. The staff are supportive and helpful. The teachers and observers help you fine tune your teaching skills. There is a large community of support. After you take the course here in Prague you can go almost anywhere in the world and find fellow Language House grads to connect with. I was not a teacher before I came here but I feel I am able to go out and teach English as a foreign language now.

I just recently graduated from The Language House Prague and would encourage anyone who is interested to take it! This opportunity is unlike any other. The staff is completely devoted to your success and focused on your ability to reach your full potential. I was daily amazed by their selflessness and student-focused agendas. The teachers believe whole-heartedly in providing you with a safe, supported and nurturing learning environment, all the while, pushing you beyond what you feel capable of doing. Being that they are all TEFL teachers themselves, they truly can relate and walk along-side of you. They never stop encouraging and challenging you! This course really pushes you and is very intensive, but it's extremely worthwhile and will prepare you for both living and working abroad. It is a busy, hectic month course but by the time you graduate, you're prepared to start teaching in the real world. The staff and teachers are amazing -- thanks to their different backgrounds and experience you get a lot of opinions and advice for how to lesson plan, how to keep your class entertained, and what to do in Prague. The grammar part of the course is important and very valuable for a good TEFL course. Thanks the weeks of studying, I feel confident if a student or an employer asks for grammar clarification or help. The staff is very helpful once you graduate as well. They are always passing on information on schools hiring, advice on how to format your CV, and tips for ex-pat life in Prague. One of the nicest parts of the program is the help offered for getting your work visa. I highly recommend The Language House and hope this review helps!

The Language House was an amazing, albeit challenging, experience that taught me so much about myself, Prague, and of course teaching English! The entire staff is first class starting with the director Chris Westergaard. From the minute you apply, he is there to answer every little question, I really don't know where he finds the time but he does and it definitely helps reduce the anxiety associated with uprooting and moving to a strange foreign land. I felt very comfortable and confident with each step of the process. They are a skilled and knowledgable team of professionals that have spent countless hours creating an effective, quality TEFL program. There are so many things to take away from the program when you're done but one of the most important to me has been the community of great friends I gained. Having a solid group of friends is so essential to the Prague experience. So I thank Chris and the rest of The Language House for making an awesome life possible in the amazing city that is Prague.
