I had an amazing time studying abroad in Cyprus through Global Learning Semesters. I was there for a summer, and I truly felt as though I was able to immerse myself and get involved in the culture. I appreciated the weekend getaways provided by Global Learning Semesters which enabled me to see the entire island. I also had the freedom to do my own exploring with my roommates, which was also great.

When I left Cyprus and Global Learning Semester I thought hat the experience would be life changing. Now that it has been a year since I was in Cyprus I know for a fact that it was the single greatest experience of my life. The beauty of the country combined with its history was on par with the excellent service provided by Global Learning Semester. The program provider is top notch and as a study abroad adviser I recommend it to students all of the time..

It was so amazing! I did the semester in Europe: International relations program. I got to go to 11 countries with the program and 16 all together (some we went to on our own). I would HIGHLY suggest this program! The teachers, program coordinators, and the students you travel with are AWESOME! If you're thinking about doing the program: DO IT! It will be life changing!

This was such an amazing trip. I did the Summer in the Mediterranean: International Marketing. The classes were okay. I actually liked the other classes I took better than the international marketing class. I am pretty sure this is because I am a marketing major, though, and everything felt very repetitive while it was new for a lot of other people.

Nicosia is great. The trip does a really good job of showing you around Cyprus as well. You visit Larnaca, Paphos, Limassol, the Turkish side of Cyprus, and most importantly Ayia Napa. Ayia Napa is like a mini New Orleans and by far the craziest and most fun weekend. You get to see a lot of historical sites and learn a lot about the history of Cyprus and while it is a divided country.

Also, the cruise was amazing. We started in Athens and then went to Mykonos, Pathmos, Crete, Santorini, and Ephesos in Turkey. Then you go to Rome. I felt like I got to experience so many cultures and see so much in such a short time.

The apartments are nice. The University is small and really doesn't have a gym which was one of my biggest complaints. Also, it is a very expensive city.

Overall, I'd recommend this trip in a heartbeat.

I went on the program Summer in Cyprus: Animal Sciences this past summer and I had an absolute amazing time! I not only got to see the entire agriculture aspect of Cyprus with swine, dairy (cow and goat), and poultry but as well shadow at a small animal clinic. I went through classroom instruction during the week and traveled to different cities during the weekends. I met an amazing group of people and I even made some new friends! I would recommend this trip to anyone, especially those looking to apply to veterinary school with food or large animal. The GLS staff were very supportive and were very helpful and organized with setting up the entire program, which definnately made it worth while!
