The tenerife project was incredible! I left with so much knowledge about cetaceans and experience with collecting data. I went on many boat trips with informative project workers and other volunteers monitoring and recording data about cetaceans. Within two weeks my skills on the boat trips and writing up data massively improved and so did the qualities of my photo ID pictures.

The house we stayed in was comfortable and so easy to settle into, it had a great atmosphere and lots of space. It was easy to bond and make friends with other people on project throughout the boat trips, activities, briefing and sharing house chores.

I would recommend that anyone thinking about signing up for this trip, should do it for at least 3 weeks , it was so hard to leave! I am going on to study zoology, and a project like this is the perfect introduction to field work and the type of amazing people that run conservation projects. I definitely feel like i've had an unique experience, and unforgettable encounters with pilot whales, dolphins and a brydes whale.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Frontier. It has been fun and challenging working on the projects here in such a beautiful country.

I recommend these projects for the amount of personal growth i have had over these months, and for the friends i have made. The Homestay family are incredibly welcoming and make life so much easier when away from home.

With a great location and fantastic people, frontier Fiji marine is truly one of the best things you can do. the diving is second to none, Fiji is well deserved to be called the soft coral capitol of the world and not just soft corals, there's all sorts of marine life from sharks and turtles to lobsters, crabs and rays and of course a plethora of fish! With a strong scientific base you feel like you are giving back to the community and of course those communities welcome you with open arms. if you want to make friends and memories that will last a life time then definitely come to frontier Fiji!!

Frontier had provide me the opportunity to see the world while gathering work experience as a marine scientist. My experience so far had been priceless. I met and learnt to work with people from various backgrounds (both other volunteers and locals). The work is constantly challenging and allows me to grow both as a leader and a scientist.

Not to mention that I work in one of the most beautiful place on earth. I woke up in the morning to the view of dense rain forest. The diving was also divine. You can see anything starting from small beautiful nudibranch to 1.5 m white tip reef shark.

There's also the feeling of accomplishment that you have done something good for the environment and the community as we develop and established conservation projects with the team. This is definitely one of the experiences that will shape who I am in the future.

Here in Madagascar I've been so privileged to be involved in Frontier's community projects in Hellville. I've spent most of my time in a local primary school giving English lessons and the occasional sports lesson. That we teach English here is such an amazing opportunity for the students to learn direct from native speakers, and it's literally Frontier that single-handedly provides this. School sports lessons here tend to be a low priority and are desperately in need of a little extra energy and enthusiasm, which it has been my pleasure to help to provide! Outside of school, Frontier runs a course of English lessons at a local 'youth club', for students of really any age to genuinely improve their life-prospects by improving their English. One of my favourite experiences here, though, has been visiting a local orphanage where a large number of the children are very sadly suffering from disabilities. We go there whenever we get a chance to provide fun and stimulating play opportunities to these extremely cute and extremely deserving children. Basically, Frontier community projects searches out the areas of need here in Hellville and the surrounding area and tries to help fill those gaps with young and enthusiastic volunteers who are so welcomed and appreciated by the local community for all that they give. Everyone here is so happy to see a blue t-shirt coming their way, and we're proud to wear them. Offering my time to the people here has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
