FedUni Adesua project was new in 2013 with its inaugural trip in December 2013. A group of ten young people and students embarked together and learnt a lot on the project. Working within a primary school within a rural village, doing some construction but also having the opportunity to work within a hospital, sports program or even agriculture gives the program a broad spectrum for its volunteers. In 2014 the trip will be organised early in the year and all information given to volunteers at once for less hassle on the volunteers. The program booklet has been changed in order to allow freedom for volunteers to create their own path once arriving in Ghana. All volunteers are informed of the country's rules and regulations and culture however, in 2014 the volunteers will be explained this through their booklet and it will be up to them in how they approach this. The reason for this is that each volunteer is an adult and can use this amazing experience so they can grow as a person and mature through the experience. In 2014 you will also be seeing even lower cost involved with the Adesua program. The group leader can organize weekend trips for the volunteers also however, this is not compulsory and once again volunteers can decide which path they would like to take. If you would like to find out more or get in touch with us please like our facebook page and contact us through there. Our program is unique in that we travel as a group from Australia together (and therefore get cheaper airfares too!) to Ghana, and you have the support of one another to help you however, we do encourage other nationalities to be a part of the project. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. We want the best for our volunteers and consistently try to improve our program.
