Hi, I am interested in working someplace abroad with young children, primarily infants. I was wondering if there was an organization that caters to that need that is affordable and has a good reputation? Thanks!

All programs are trademark of their respective companies. The information on this site does not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of AbroadReviews.com.
Try with International Volunteers Network. The organization is from Uganda and they have a lot of work with kids in the orphanages. The experience is wonderful. I´ve been there this summer and I wont never forget.

If you are interesting to come to Ecuador, please look at the following website: http://www.ecovolunteerup.org/info.asp?id=79&lng=en , they give you emails from past volunteers.
You can try http://anyep.org, based in Kenya. You can help in taking care of children ages 6-15years, teach them as you involve in daily schedules.
Hi Jenna.
if you are interested in working someplace abroad with young children, it might be good to avoid the big companies. Often, they sent thousands of Volunteers out into the world and it is hardly impossible to know the impact they have on the communities and projects. Some companies work in more than 20 countries and send out hunderds of Volunteers into each. This is not neccesarily bad but in most cases it is unsustainable. Chose wisely :)
Check out Friends International (my favourite)
Ubelong ( a good company)
Responsible volunteering - people and places (a social enterprise)
Ask the right questions before signing up and make sure you know the placement well ahead of your depature.
Also try to volunteer and work through sending organizations that work directly with children and spend as much time as possible to volunteer.
Definately go and volunteer, but rethink if it has to be with infants (if you are not trained) and try to avoid orpahnages, if you dont know them well.
