Awaiting Angels

I worked in a school for kids with special needs and lived with a host family. Working at the school was the most rewarding work I've ever done, the kids are so affectionate and the teachers love having foreign volunteers. My family was also great, they took such good care of me and taught me so much about Peruvian culture. Awaiting Angels is run really well, probably the most valuable program in Peru. It is inexpensive but you get so much from the program. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in volunteering overseas.
