I spent three weeks volunteering in India, Faridabad. All of the Aim Abroad employees were excellent hosts to me and the other volunteers and I felt really safe during my stay in India. It is obvious that they are also taking good care of the children in an orphanage. All of the children are nice, smart and friendly. I wish I spent more time with them. Concerning the slum school volunteering, I assisted the slum school teacher during the lectures for both the children and the women. It was a great pleasure to be able to help them even if it was for a short period of time. I recommend the Aim Abroad organization to anyone looking for the rewarding and fulfilling experience in this fascinating country.

I had an amazing experience volunteering with Aim Abroad in India. I did not know what to expect going over to a new country, but everything was even better than I could have imagined. The family was so warm and caring that I really felt at home after only a few days of being there. The experience of living with them in their home and getting to know them truly elevated my time to a new level. It was something that I could not have gotten anywhere else. Additionally, the volunteer opportunities were great. I was volunteering on the medical program and I got to try a lot of different things, such as working in a children's hospital, riding along with ambulances, and working with vision clinics. I got to have a lot of hands-on experiences, and it was great for someone interested in medicine but without a lot of medical experiences. In summary, everything was incredible from beginning to end, and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of volunteering in India. The worst part was having to say goodbye at the end of my trip!!

I spent two weeks volunteering in faridabad, near New Delhi. The accommodation and food were great. I stayed with the programme organiser Kranti, and four other volunteers. I took part in the medical programme which involved spending the morning in the clinic taking blood pressure, temperature, and weight, as I had no medical training. This was an eye opening experience for me. The clinic is not open in the afternoons so I spent the afternoons in the orphanage. This programme is very flexible and I also spent a day in the ambulance service. Kranti is easily able to organise different volunteer projects for you when you arrive if you fancy trying something else.
