I went with RCDP to a program in Nepal. It was a wonderfull experince, very well organised and very flexible. The staff from the organisation was very welcoming and understanding. We were able to meet other volunteers. I've found this experience a very enriching one.

I think it was a great experience, because there were several projects en we rotated with our group between the projects. The staff of the rural and pre-school were very kind en helpful. A disadvantage was that we did not could do much in the rural school because the kids did have exams. But the house where we slept, was very nice. All together it was oganized very good.

The host families are really kind And always helpt you. Besodemieterd they take the time to explain And teach the culture. They also give good tips what to visit and take you to diverse cultural activities such as ceremonies if you like. The projects are very flexible, If you don't like a project you can switch really easy if you like, due to the good work and contacts of the host Micheal! A special experience with great service!

I volunteered in a hospital in Kathmandu. During my two month stay I was able to see many areas of Nepal through RCDP. Each of the excursions were well planned and very fun. I stayed in the hostel and enjoyed that there were constantly new volunteers coming and going. Everyone who works in RCDP and the hostel are friendly, kind, and caring. If I ever had a problem there were a multitude of people to go to. My project was working in a small private hospital down the street. I learned a great deal about culture and healthcare through this experience. I do wish that the program had more direction or hands on opportunities, as I am qualified as a nurse. I felt many times that while the hospital was extremely valuable for me, I was not contributing much. All in all I absolutely loved my stay in Nepal and loved being able o chat with everyone at RCDP if I ever had a question about culture, religion or politics. They were all wonderful and I gained a lot from this experience.
