I've been in Costa Rica for just under 3 weeks and I absolutely fell in love with it. I was hectic and nervous coming into a new country not knowing anyone, but I'm so glad I did! I got to meet so many great people and see the breathtaking views that Costa Rica has to offer. Volunteering in the Hogar Cristiano in Puntarenas was such a life changing experience, where you learn so much alongside these little kids. I became so attached to these children in such a short time. It feels great knowing that they look forward to seeing you every week and really do appreciate the small things you do for them. The experience is completely worth it and I will definitely do this again in the future.

I'm Marc, and I traveled to Sri Lanka expecting a life changing experience. I taught the monks for three weeks and they were a blessing. The country is beautiful, the people are kind, and the activities are innumerable. I stayed with Micheal and his family. There were many other volunteers whom were helpful and very welcoming to my ignorance of traveling alone. The monks were eager to learn and very easy to teach, but be careful because it is very easy to get attached to them! During the weekdays I worked at the monastery, and on the weekends I was able to plan excursions with the other volunteers and visit places around the country. I went surfing at Arugam Bay, and then went back to teach in the weekdays. I also witnessed the many cultural festivals and met many of the locals. If you plan to travel here and do what I did I have some recommendations: don't waste time, be social with the other volunteers, travel as much as possible, and overall enjoy yourself. The country is beautiful, the people are a joy, and the monks are the cutest little kids you will ever meet in your life.

The host family was very kind and the food was great. They were very helpful with all of the volunteering and made my stay very easy. Overall it was a great trip and I recommend anyone who is looking to have a cultural and inspiring experience to travel to Sri lanka and volunteer.

I had such an amazing time in Sri Lanka! Micheal and his family were so welcoming. I volunteered in a temple teaching Buddhist monks and also at the orphanage. I would definitely recommend Sri Lanka to anyone hoping to volunteer abroad.

The volunteering part was a good learning experience for me as the children in the orphanage couldn't communicate in English and we had to find other ways to communicate. The kids were very active and playful, and I had a good time with them in the orphanage.
Accommodation was good as well. The food was delicious, the host family was nice, and the place we stayed at was superb.
The sightseeing part gave me a chance to learn more about the history of the country. The sites in Galle, Kandy, Sigiriya were amazing.
Overall, it was a good experience for me and I really enjoyed the trip.

Very meaningful experience, cultivate my strong sense of promoting the local life standard and fulfill the people's need. Really a bridge to pass love such as the orphanage project and teenage girls teaching plan. Exactly an unforgettable memory in my life.
