I had a fantastic stay in Ghana which is a very welcoming country. Ghanaians are very friendly but sometimes a bit too much. Franklin our host and his family were incredible. i could not have felt more at home. the accommodation was great, we had our privacy and lots of space. The food was delicious even though sometimes too spicy for me but very varied and we got to taste many different local foods which was great. during my two-week stay, i worked at an orphanage teaching children of different ages school subjects such as mathematics, french or English, played, cared and had a lot of fun with them. the children are so caring, sometimes stubborn but enriched my experience here in so many ways. in our spare time, we visited the market, the beach, a slave castle in Cape Coast and went on a canopy walk. these activities permitted for me to discover Ghanaian culture and made my trip very exciting and full of emotions. if i ever had a problem,i knew i could count on Franklin, his daughters or anyone at the orphanage. The people are so caring that i felt constantly well supported. i would greatly recommend my experience in Ghana if you wish to discover a new culture, help children and come back as a different human being. this trip was eye-opening, so gratifying and a magical experience.

I did medical volunteering in Puntarenas. At first, It was not what I expected. The communication and clarity about the program before it started wasn't completely correct and some items weren't clear. Despite that, I had a great experience. The people in the clinic where I volunteered were so nice and I got to see interesting procedures. The clinic is very well provided and the people are well-off, so don't expect an underdeveloped area. The volunteerhouse and food are very nice. Although I think they're could've been smoother communication about activities etc. However, I really liked Costa Rica and I had a great experience.

This company has a supportive team to guide you through placements. One thing that bugged me was that some of the coordinators pocketed money from the volunteers which were supposed to go to the family we stayed with. However, if it was not for this program, I would not have gained friends and family in Kenya and would not have been able to see the true wild life on this magnificent continent.

RCDP is very organized in my opinion. I had a great experience in a way that everything went as planned and although I was so far from my country I never felt alone. I always had someone to contact or a place to return and sleep.I love Hom and Pratima they are amazing people and they made my stay so great. At the orphanage I felt that the ones taking care of the kids wanted me there not so much for my help or love but for my money. They were really nice to me at all times and the kids are just amazing and soo smart. But it started to make me feel unconfortable when the owner of the orphanage started to ask me for money. Even though I had a good experience because the kids really wanted my love :)

I am Nadja from Norway and I joined RCDP international volunteering program in Sri Lanka, Galle, at the orphanage for children.

The children at the orphanage are incredibly kind, thoughtful and beautiful. After just three days I had gotten really attached to the kids and started wondering how I would manage to leave them. During my stay I have seen their kindness close up. I have seen the oldest kids look after the younger kids. The children at the orphanage are so incredibly beautiful, and they're always smiling, which made me smile the whole time I was there.

I stayed with Michael and his family. They have been wonderful, really kind, helpful and loving. Every time I asked the family about something they did their best to help me. Michael's grandchildren even started teaching me singalese because they wanted to help me.

Michael's wife made such good food, it was incredible. The other volunteers and I started saying that all of the meals
were our favorite meal, because everything tasted so good.
