Frontier

When it first arrived on the project I thought it was a bit daunting at first, made lots of friends from all over the world, it was a eye opening experience. For me the most enjoyable part of the project was being with the children it was the highlight of the trip.
The project could be improved if the timekeeping of the people in the country was better. I recommend the future volunteers do the project you can't understand what the project is like until you actually do it. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I arrived in the country early so had a few days to relax before I met up with the others on the Panda project. We spent a couple of days with the interpreter who took us around and showed us the wilderness and the mountains. For me the experience of being on a project in a group and with the young people was much better than what I thought it would be, the project was very well run and there were lots of activities available to do in the evening if you chose to.

For me the most enjoyable part of the project was being with the pandas feeding them preparing the food and cleaning their area. The project is not only for youngsters there is no age limit and no matter what age you are the volunteers and staff really do make you feel welcome and take you into the group.

International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ)

Namaste!
There's so much to say about this program. First of all: I highly recommend it to first time travelers. If you're young, want to meet people, live with an awesome homestay family, and do some volunteer work at the same time- then IVHQ is for you.
I was lucky enough to spend six months in India working in one of the slum schools of Faridabad. It was a wild and magical experience. The school itself is disorganized, loud, and overwhelming at times. But, that's what makes it volunteer work a memory to last forever. These kids need you more than a highly functioning, well funded school. Here, you really get to know the children individually. Through laughter, the best Hindi you can muster, art, and cultural exchange you see the children for the beautiful beings they are. What I highly recommend to other volunteers is to do some basic research on teaching if you've had no prior experience. That made a difference for me when I started my first week of teaching. I did a lot of projects ranging from science, to math, to writing poetry. The thing with all of those topics is that it's still teaching English- even just talking to them is teaching them something.
As for my homestay family... well, that was the best part of the program. I really lucked out with the house I was placed in, and at the end of my six months I considered them to be my family. They took such good care of me. Always seeing to my needs and cooking me delicious food. The hardest part about leaving was saying goodbye to them.
India is forever part of my heart now and I already can't wait to go back.

The first few days of camp were about meeting the people who ran the camp everyone was very welcoming we played lots of games before starting on our conservation project.

I most enjoy the conservation work it was really good it was such incredible experience everybody was very friendly and welcoming. I believe the project could be improved by providing more funding towards the research of conservation, the equipment that is used and towards the local government in the country

I recommend that future volunteers google camping and learn more about camping before they come out on the project also make sure you bring lots of sun cream and a quick drying towel.

Enjoyed the project and felt especially welcomed by the staff. I learnt a lot from them and thoroughly enjoyed their company. A brilliant team made an amazing experience. Diving sites were the best I have visited and saw some of the most amazing sights of my life. I won't forget this unbelievable experience.
