Review Posting and Removal Criteria
Review Posting Criteria
AbroadReviews.com strives to take as unbiased a stance as possible. Our goal is to provide as much information as possible and allow the users to interpret it as they see fit.
We cannot independently verify each reviewer's authenticity, but we have a few requirements before a posting is live on our site:
- Each review must be from a unique IP address. This helps prevent multiple reviews being posted by the same person.
- Each reviewer must provide and verify an email address. This is done by sending a confirmation link to the reviewer's email within 48 hours after posting.
- Each review must be at least 160 characters long. This forces the user to provide some detail.
Removal Criteria:
Reviews are never completely removed from the site. Reviews that were removed can be viewed along with administrative notes that explain why the review was removed.
Reviews are removed under the following circumstances:
- Inappropriate content. Reviews that use foul language, threats, or any other inappropriate content will be edited and posted to the removal log.
- Off topic reviews. Reviews that are obviously unrelated to the company will be removed. (Automatic Spam Posts)
UNDER NO OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A REVIEW BE REMOVED. THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR CAN NEVER DELETE THEIR OWN REVIEW, THEY MAY ONLY POST OFFICIAL UPDATES. THREATENING THE AUTHOR OR ABROADREVIEWS.COM TO REMOVE A REVIEW WILL NOT WORK. WITHHOLDING A DESERVED REFUND UNTIL A REVIEW IS REMOVED IS UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL.
AbroadReviews.com reserves the right to post a removal note for any removed reviews.
Flagging reviews:
Reviews may be flagged if they violate one of the above rules. If you find a review to be suspicious, simply hit "reply" and let others know about your suspicion and why you feel that way.
